Energy Efficiency in Springfield, Vermont

On August 17, 2009, the Springfield Selectboard appointed John Pugh and Mary Ann Remolador as the Town Energy Coordinators.  The Coordinators lead the Energy Support Group that is made up of volunteers interested in supporting energy efficiency in the Town. The role of the Coordinators is to increase efficiency by working on the energy goals set forth in the Town Plan.

The Coordinators' first tasks are to conduct an energy inventory (expenditures on electricity, heating, and water) of all town-owned properties and to develop a Town Energy webpage.  The Group meets at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month at the Springfield Police Station Meeting Room.  The meetings are open to the public.
