Glance Referrals - The Chamber Office
handles hundreds of business referrals to members each year. We make contact
with people and businesses moving into the area and with prospective customers
and clients of Chamber Members. The Chamber is the first stop for information
about Springfield and the area. Networking - The Chamber office helps
to coordinate “Business After Hours“ mixers for interested businesses. This
event provides a business a chance to communicate what and who they are to
other Chamber members. And, the mixers are a great opportunity to meet other
members! Education – The Chamber’s Education
Committee works to make sure that the needs of our members are met through the
available educational resources in the region. We work with education providers
to adjust their offerings to continually upskill your workforce. Advocacy – The Chamber is the “Voice
of Business” in this region. We communicate with our governmental officials on
the local, state and federal levels to make sure they’re aware of the needs and
concerns of our membership. Monthly Newsletter - The Chamber News features
items of interest about the Chamber’s programs and progress. The monthly newsletter
helps to keep members informed of Chamber activities, new members and upcoming
events. As a member, you’re able to include an insert in the Newsletter for a
small fee. Travel Information Center - The Chamber supplies
information on dining, lodging, shopping and area events to visitors of the
area. We operate the Eureka Schoolhouse during the summer months and provide
information through our office year-round. As a member, you can display your rack
cards and business cards at our office. Business Of The Month
Program - Every
month, a member is selected as the Business of the Month. They receive free
display space at one of our entrances for the month as well as a promotional
article in that month’s newsletter. That piece is also published in the
Springfield Reporter. (over) Group Insurance - Members of the Springfield
Regional Chamber of Commerce are eligible for a group health insurance plan
(from Cigna) geared toward small businesses and their employees. Long-Term Care - You, and your employees,
have access to Long-Term Care insurance from Transamerica Insurance. This
provides financial protection against the high costs associated with home
health care, assisted living and nursing home care. Other Member Benefits - As a Chamber member, you’re
also eligible for a dental plan (through Delta Dental) for you and your
employees. Membership Directory - Who’s who in Springfield?
The Chamber distributes a membership directory, which contains a listing of all
Chamber Members. It is distributed to all members as well as locally, and in
response to requests coming from all over the nation. Apple Festival, Home Show,
Moonlight Madness and the Hackers Tournament - These annual events are sponsored by the
Chamber. They offer participants the chance to network with other business
people. These events are also a good tool to market your business. Web Site - By being a Chamber member
you will be included in the Chambers web site. With thousands of inquires on an
annual basis, this is a good way to promote your business. In addition to the
listing, members receive free links
to their web sites. Regional Marketing Program -
The
Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce is a participating member in the
Southern Windsor County Regional Marketing Program, which provides promotional
opportunities for businesses throughout the region. Together, working through the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce, our combined efforts will help each other make the town’s economy viable and productive to enhance everyone’s business potential. |
