   The Leadership Southeast Vermont program (LSEVT), now in its 19th year, creates an understanding of what it means to be a "trustee" of the community and fosters civic engagement. Each class brings together people of diverse backgrounds, experiences and points of view, who have a strong interest in becoming active leaders in their communities. Class participants have a shared commitment to improving the future of Southeast Vermont.

     Leadership Southeast Vermont is an intensive, interactive program that runs from September through June with a full-day meeting once a month. Each session focuses on a specific theme, such as Health Care, Corrections, or Regional History. Presenters include state and local officials as well as community and business leaders. Through guest speaker presentations, discussions, field trips, and group projects, class participants are immersed in the many aspects and complexities of the issues facing our communities.

     One of only four leadership programs across the state, Leadership Southeast Vermont is a unique resource for employers or employees to learn how to be more effective members of their organization and, ultimately, of their community.
