Springfield Town Library

Originally constructed in 1895 with multiple expansions over the years, the Springfield town Library has sat at the center of downtown for over 130 years. Featuring over 50,000 books, multimedia materials, the Springfield Town Library offers free access to online classes, electronic resources, and community programming for adults + children.  The Springfield Library sits on the National Register of Historic Places

Springfield United Methodist Church

Constructed in 1843, the United Methodist Church in downtown Springfield Vermont serves as a historic centerpiece of downtown. With classic brick architecture and a prominent clocktower that tolls on the hour, the United Methodist church has been a staple of Springfield for nearly 200 years.

First Congregational Church of Springfield 

Developed in 1832, Springfield's First Congregational Church sets the skyline with their sweeping belltower. The entrance gilded with 6 sweeping pillars. For nearly 200 year the First Congregational Church has served as a meeting place for many in town. Today, the church hosts bible studies, Sunday services, community potlucks, and occasional special events.

Calvary Baptist Church

Located near the Eastern end of Downtown Springfield, Calvary Baptist sits perched on a knoll overlooking the Black River. As one of the "newer" churches in town, Calvary Baptist is roughly 125 years young. The outside facade features a belltower on the left, with stained glass windows on all sides adorning the building. A community resource, Calvary Baptist hosts Sunday Service, midweek bible study, monthly community dinners, and public events throughout the year. Their basement meeting hall is the home of the local girl scout troop, and often reserved for social functions such as birthday parties. 

Springfield Community Center

What appears as an unassuming industrial building hides countless hours of fun inside! In operation since 1909, the Springfield Community Center is the home of Springfield Parks & Recreation department. Inside the Community Center resides a basketball court, a 6 lane candlepin bowling alley, and a game room which hosts 2 billiards tables, air hockey, ping pong, and foosball. The Community center also has a variety of multi purpose activity rooms for fun such as line dancing, martial arts, health clinics, and an array of classes.

Springfield Senior Center

Attached on the first floor of the Springfield Community Center, the Springfield Senior Center serves as a community resource and meeting location for those over the age of 50. With a popular informal library, the Senior Center is constantly bustling with activity and a packed parking lot. Frequented by those that enjoy table games and comradery, the Senior Center hosts multiple casino trips yearly, programs and many special events throughout the year. 

VRmont Studios

Located squarely in downtown, VRmont Studios is a virtual reality lair like non other! With a multitude of games and team building activities, VRmont Studios also serves as a maker space and community gathering spot for family centered activities and open houses.

Springfield On The Move

Spingfield On The Move is a local non-profit partnering with locals to spearhead development and attractive growth in the Springfield area. Springfield On The Move is also opening a new small business incubator program to help local businesses grow!

Springfield Co-Op

A Downtown destination for 30 years, the Springfield Co-Op is a healthfood haven selling local produce and international ingredients. The Springfield Co-Op features a hot bar for lunch daily with an ever-changing menu and a deli counter. The Springfield Co-Op is a foodie favorite for locals and visitors alike.
