I’ve had a really intense month at work, and I’ve noticed that my go-to way to de-stress has been looking for porn videos before I head to sleep. It’s like a physical "off" switch for my brain. I mentioned this to a friend who is a therapist, and they said it’s a very common way for people to handle high cortisol levels. It made me feel a lot less "weird" about it. However, I’m trying to make sure it doesn't become my only way to relax. I’ve started adding in some light reading or listening to ambient music too. Does anyone else use adult content as a specific stress-management tool, and do you feel like it helps or just delays the burnout?

I was just checking the "Photography" sub to see if there were any new lens reviews and ended up here. This is a very honest and open conversation. It’s interesting to see how people are integrating their digital habits into their overall mental health strategies. I think we’re all just doing our best to get by in a pretty stressful world. I don’t have much to share on the topic, but I appreciate the lack of judgment in this thread. It’s a nice change of pace from the usual internet comment sections. I’m going to go look at some camera gear now, but hope you all have a stress-free weekend!
