There's exciting news from Ascutney, Vermont! On April 23, a wonderful new resource for the community officially opened its doors: Thrive Thrift Store & Community Resource Center. To mark the occasion, the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce joined Thrive for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating the launch of this much-needed initiative.
The atmosphere was buzzing with enthusiasm as key figures behind Thrive and the Chamber gathered. Among those present were Andrea Murray, Thrive's Chair; Nichole Gagnon, the Founder & Secretary; and Sheila Young, the Vice Chair. Also present was Taylor Drinker, Executive Director of the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce, showing the strong support for this new venture. The event also acknowledged other dedicated board members, including founding member Brandon Gulnick (Treasurer), Amanda Pearsons, and James Warren, all of whom are vital to Thrive's mission.
More Than Just a Thrift Store
Thrive is more than just a place to find great deals on pre-loved items; it's a true community hub. As their team shared, "We run on volunteers at the moment. We started gathering items for other nonprofits and it grew into what we are today. We provide basic needs and wellness resources to vulnerable populations. We offer low cost items at our thrift store in Ascutney and provide vouchers and resource navigation for Springfield & Windsor VT areas, as well as the Claremont, NH area. We are hoping to provide more services as we grow! Check us out!"
This statement highlights the heart of Thrive's mission: to offer essential support and resources to those who need it most. By providing affordable items and connecting individuals with vital services, Thrive is stepping up to make a significant difference in the lives of many across the region.

The community is encouraged to stop by and say hello, explore their offerings, and learn more about how to support their important work.
