As an ongoing tradition, the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts an annual Candidates Night, giving locals an opportunity to meet Selectboard and School Board candidates. This year’s event, open to the public, will be held in the Selectmen’s Hall at the Town Office on Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00pm. Current Selectboard Chair Kristi Morris and Mike Martin are running uncontested for two open seats on the Selectboard. School Board Chair Ed Caron and Troy Palmer are competing for one open seat on the School Board. All four candidates have agreed to participate in the event. Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with questions for the candidates to prompt lively discussions about important issues. This public question and answer session will be recorded and aired on local cable by SAPA TV.
