Short trip and thought it would be cool
A few months ago I randomly decided to start learning French, mostly because I was planning a short trip and thought it would be cool to at least understand basic phrases. At first I didn’t take it seriously and just watched a few videos online, but that didn’t really stick. The problem was that everything felt unstructured and I had no idea what I should learn first.

The structure helped a lot because lessons are divided into small topics like everyday phrases, travel situations, or basic conversations. Instead of feeling like school homework, it feels more like gradually building pieces of a puzzle. One thing that helped me personally was practicing speaking, even if I was just repeating phrases out loud while walking around my apartment. It sounds silly, but pronunciation improves much faster when you actually say the words. Another thing I tried was using an AI practice tool late at night when I didn’t have anyone to talk with.
