1st Annual Bowling for Hunger Tournament

Wintertime fun for a great cause! Grab some canned goods, a few friends, and bowl for hunger! On Sunday, February 18th at 10:00am, Up Your Alley will be hosting Springfield’s 1st Annual Bowling for Hunger Tournament. This event will be a great way to take your mind off the cold, keep your blood moving, and do a good deed for the community. Teams of four will compete on Springfield’s favorite bowling lanes to raise money for the Food Pantry at the Springfield Family Center. Highlights will include raffles, a 50/50, door prizes, and the joys of good-natured competition! Up Your Alley will also be collecting food items – in particular: canned tuna, chicken or salmon, peanut butter, meals in a can (soup, stew, chili), low-sodium canned vegetables, canned fruit in its own juice or water, olive or canola oil, spices (cinnamon, chili powder, cumin, salt-free spice blends), canned foods with pop-top lids, low-sugar whole grain cereals, and healthy snacks (granola bars, nuts, dried fruit). Receive an additional raffle ticket for every item of food you donate! The cost to enter is $25 per person, $100 per team of four. All proceeds benefit Springfield Food Pantry. Call today to reserve your team spot and strike out hunger! 802-885-5087. Ask for Rob.
